Sampark Kranti
Sampark Kranti Express trains are a series of trains that are a part of an Indian Railways endeavor to provide high speed yet affordable train connections from cities around India with the National Capital, New Delhi. The express trains are superfast with the provision of non-air conditioned coaches. Sampark Kranti Expresses have few stops and operate at high speeds. Initially the Indian Railways had initiated a similar concept on the Rajdhani series of super-fast trains but since the Rajdhani trains are fully air-conditioned, they are too expensive for the masses. Even though the Sampark Kranti trains operate at slower average speeds than the Rajdhani and Shatabdi series they still provide high speed options at normal prices, which is a big boon for the common Indian traveler. The first train in the series was the Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express from Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin to Yesvantpur that was launched in 2004.List of Sampark Kranti trains with their arrival and departure timings.
